Remove contact plate base from dipstick tube.

Clean all oil from the upper area of dipstick tube. Apply a thin coat of Mopar Loctite Stud and Bearing Mount, PN 4318032, 1/2" below the
top edge of dipstick tube and down to the bead.

Slide the Extension, PN 4343647, over the tube and, using a brass drift, carefully drive the extension until it seats against bead.

5.

Remove the spring metal ring from the contact plate base and discard ring.

6.

Install contact plate base on extension, using an aircraft-style Type F Miniature Hose Clamp PN 153455. Push contact plate base onto tube
until base snaps into place on adapter bead, then position hose clamp over bead and tighten securely.

7.

Add one quart of oil. Check oil level and operation of dipstick.

8.

Install the adhesive backed engine label on oil filler cap.

9.

Place the insert for owners manual in the lubrication section of the owners manual.
